Commercial Plant Room in Norfolk

The Brief

A commercial site in Norfolk needed a new plant room to serve the building reliably, with downtime kept to an absolute minimum. The priority was a system that would run dependably day in, day out, and that could be serviced quickly and safely when the time came, without an engineer having to fight to reach the important parts.

What We Did

Our work included:

• Planned the plant room layout: Before any pipework went in, we set out the room so the boiler plant, pumps and controls sit logically, with clear access for future servicing and fault finding.
• Installed the boiler plant: Commercial boiler plant was fitted and sized to the demands of the building, ready to deliver reliable heat and hot water across the site.
• Fitted pumps and pressurisation: Circulation pumps and a pressurisation unit were installed to keep the system running at the right pressure and flow, which protects the plant and keeps everything working as it should.
• Ran the pipework: Flow and return pipework was run cleanly around the plant, with isolation valves in the right places so individual parts can be shut down and worked on without draining the whole system.
• Set out for easy servicing: Gauges, valves and controls were positioned so they can be read and reached easily, making routine maintenance faster and safer.
• Commissioned and documented: The system was filled, vented, balanced and commissioned, and the work was documented clearly for the site records.

The Result

A commercial plant room that runs dependably and is genuinely easy to service. Because the boiler plant, pumps and pressurisation were laid out logically from the start, faults can be found fast and routine maintenance is straightforward, which keeps downtime and disruption to the business to a minimum. The whole install was built to the same standards of workmanship and honest communication we bring to every job.
